Hi, while I don't think there is a connection, I just found out by researching that I had a great-great-grandmother named Ida Rudnick, married to a Philip Rudnick. My maternal grandparent's name was Bertha Kudisch Silverman. Her mother was Clara Rudnick Kudisch, whose name I just learned by research. On her death certificate from Boston, I see that Clara's parents' names were Ida and Philip Rudnick.Clara died at age 52 in 1905, originally coming from Russia (back then, sometimes parts of Russia were considered Poland and vice versa.)I don't know if Ida ever came to this country or when she was born, probably in the earlier 1800s.Too, a lot of names were the same, amazingly so.We are Jewish. My mother lived with her parents in New York in the 30s to seek treatment for my young uncle who had cancer. If you think there might be a connection, please contact me.
