"Jacob Rudolph, the husband of Polly Rudolph, was the son of John Rudolph, Jr., who was born in NC in 1780 and fought in the War of 1812 with Gen. Andrew Jackson at the Battle of Horeshoe Bend. John Rudolph, Jr., died in McCracken co., KY in 1842. Jacob Rudolph was the grandson of John Rudolph, Sr., who fought in the Revolutionary War. The exact relationship of these Rudolphs to the Andrew Rudolph, Jr. family is unknown, but more than likely they were second cousins. Both Jacob and Polly Rudolph are buried in New Hope Cem, Lovelaceville, KY."--David Rudolph, The Rudolph Family of Tenn, 2nd ed, 1997.
You probably know all the above, but thot I'd post it, just in case. Cleo.
