Since I posted that last message, I found another John Rhue born 1755 or earlier (on the tax rolls in 1780-1790s and alive in 1800 age 45+) and a Thomas Rhue born 1770-75 (on the 1830, 1840 and 1850 censuses). These may be sons of the John Rhue whose Orange County will was dated 1783, where he mentions Catrin (wife?) and several Terrells.
In 1850, Thomas Rhue Sr is 65 (born c1785).This suggests he is a different individual from Thomas born 1770-75 but that the older Thomas is too young to be the father of Thomas Sr.This suggests that Thomas Sr. (and Ann and Sarah Rhue) are probably children of the John Rhue who is still alive in 1800 age 45+ and may be grandchildren of the John Rhue who died in 1783 Orange NC.The Thomas born 1770-75 could be their uncle.
In 1820 was an "Isaac" Rhue 26-45 also (I can't read the faded census handwriting but others say the name is Isaac).
Please keep me posted on any new information you find.
Thanks,
Gary
