Peter Ruffle - Ohio - 1850

1850 census - Ohio, Jefferson Co., Wayne Township

Peter Ruffle b. England Occupation- Operative
Mary Ruffle b. Tennessee(?)
John W. Brown 16 b. Ohio

I found this while researching my G-grandfather, John W. Brown. The age and birthplace are right.
Could this be my ancestor? Family history says he was an orphan.
Who are the Ruffles and why would he be living with them?

Would any of you researching the Ruffle family know anything about this? Thanks for any help.
Dorothy Bullion
