Hello,

If you are a Ruickbie - this is YOUR board - post a message here ...

The Ruickbie name is both unique and quite rare. At the time of this post (2004) there are only approx 100 living Ruickbie persons on this planet.

All Ruickbie people are, in a way related, to James Ruickbie a noted Borders poet born in Innerleithen, Scotland in the mid 1700's. You may see examples of his work and a brief bio on the Electric Scotland website in the poetry section. You will also find his various works and a John Ruickbie as well on the shelves of the National Library of Scotland.

Although small, the Ruickbie family has members in Scotland, England, Canada, South Africa, Nigeria, France, and possibly Germany. Plus the family has very close cousins in the USA, New Zealand, and Australia. Maybe more?

Leave a post - learn a lot................ I shall respond.

Regards,

LarryR
