Clayton Samuel Rumble, Sr. was my father b June 20, 1903 in Heckla PA.His parents were Jacob Monroe Rumble b 2/12/1865 in East Brunswick Township PA.He was killed in an explosion at the Potts Powder Works at Reynolds PA near Tamaqua at 7:00AM on 4/29/1909.His wife was Clara Katherine Koenig b 3/6/1873 in East Brunswick Township PA.She died 7/14/1943 in Dover NJ.They were married 10/10/1891 in Orwigsburg PA.She married Wellington Hill sometime in 1922-1923.
Jacob Monroe ( he went by the name Monroe because he did not like the name Jacob, most records say Monroe or J Monroe) & Clara's children were:
Charles b February 17, 1892.Died February 12, 1914 in Kenvil, NJ at the Atlas Powder Company in an explosion with 5 other men.
Bertha May b February 13, 1894 d March 18, 1960
Maude b July 16, 1896 d unknown
Iva b January 1900 d unknown
William b January 25, 1906 d July 01, 1984
Earl b January 07, 1909 d 1954
I have birth, death and marriage certificates of my parents and and their parents as well as census and marriage licenses.
Elizabeth was a relative living next door.Possibly Jacob's Aunt but certainly not his mother! They are not listed as the children but children living in household on census. You need to dig further to find if they are their actual children.
