My maternal Grand Father, Guy W. Rumohr was born in Markham, Ontario in March 1887 to Samuel Rumohr (born March 1856) and Eliza (nee ?)Rumohr (born October 1864. I saw an Eliza Gilmore in one of the other posts.
Per my records there were three additional brothers:
Arthur Rumohr, born 1889
Fred M Rumohr, born July 1890
Glen Rumohr, born November 1891
I have the family "homestead" listed at:
10271 Woodbine Ave, Markham, Ont (though the name Peter Rumohr is on the records I have). The home was still standing but in disrepair about 5 years ago. The family moved to Michigan sometime before 1900.
The birth records were found in the Oceana County Records, Shelby Village on the west coast of Michigan and come from a June 11, 1900 US Census.
It could be assumed that the Fred Rumohr born in 1890 was named after your Frederick but it does not appear he would have been the grandfather.
