I have an interest in the Dr. E. P. Angell that you mention in your query.I have his marriage license for his marriage to M. E. Gilmore dated August 1, 1901.This marriage is on file in Polk Co., TX.This M. E. Gilmore is my gggrandmother. At least I am pretty sure she is.All the records that I can find for her indicate that her name was Mary E. Blanchard. She married 1st to John W. Glidden.I once corresponded with a Mildred Sampson in Beaumont.I believe that she was a grand daughter of E. P. Angell and she confirmed that Dr. Angell had been married to a "Glidden".I don't understand why the marriage certificate had M. E. "Gilmore".I have a copy of the pictorial history of Polk County and on page 331 there is a photo of "Dr. and Mrs. E. P. Angel".Have you seen this picture and do you know if this was his second wife?On the 1910 census the wife of E. P. Angell is listed as "Mollie" and is 71 yrs old and born in Maine. This fits with what I know about M. E. Blanchard.I have the obit for my gggrandmother and she is listed as Mrs. Angel.Any information that you can shed on this 2nd marriage of Dr. Angell would be greatly appreciated.
