I am seeking info on the Runion family that may have lived in what is now Gilmer and Calhoun Co., WV. that may have possibly been from Ohio. I am looking for info for Sarah Ann "Nancy" Runion Truman Mace. The basic info I have on her is that she was born possibly in either Gilmer Co., (W)VA or Ohio, about 1827. Her parents names were S. and M. Runion, possibly born or from Ohio. Sarah married John Truman in 1840 in what was then Kanawha Co., (W)VA. The section of Kanawha Co. they resided was later formed into Gilmer Co. and then that part of Gilmer Co. was formed into Calhoun Co. In 1858 her husband John died in Calhoun Co and Sarah then moved to Kanawha Co. In 1867 she married Townsend Mace and she died between 1880-1900. She might possibly have a brother by the name of Silvester Runion ( b. abt. 1838 ). In some censuses ( and also on some of childrens census listings and other records ) her place of birth is listed OH and on some WV and on her Mace marriage record it was Gilmer Co. as place of birth. In the 1880 Kanawha Co., WV census she and her parent are listed as all born in OH. She might be related to the Runions of Harrison Co., WV and the VA Runions. If anyone can provide any info on her and the others metioned, I'd greatly appreciate it.
