Yes, yes, yes, please. You've gotten past where I was stuck. And I'll supply what I can on branches and such. I haven't been able to research documents at their sources, but can at least put together what I have.
There were several brothers raised/born in CA, El Dorado County, Frederick A. Rupley was one of them. He married Nettie Violet Knopf (she only used "Violet" and tried to get out of the "Nettie" name). They brought their adult sons (Forrest and Fred) with them to WA when something bad happened in the freight company. I'm Forrest's daughter.
My dad remembered riding with his grandfather on the riverboat on the American River. He enjoyed summers on his cousins' ranch in Livermore, maybe on his mom's side. His uncle was a Walker. That's ancillary to your line.
Unfortunately, Frederick's line stops with my brother and me as we didn't reproduce, while on Fred's side I have a cousin with a married (I think)daughter. (She has two brothers who are falling behind in ther race with time-- one's close to 50 and the other's maybe six years younger.
My dad may have been married before he married my mom-- I was told he married a show girl in San Francisco just before he went to WWII. I don't know if there were kids-- he never admitted to any other marriages. But in a small Washington town... word leaks out...
Let's stay in touch no matter whether it's genealogy or not since we are, after all, cousins. OK?
