Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
I believe Linda and husband James Carter TINSLEY were my maternal grandmother's parents. Linda was Belinda Luemma 1862-1889 who I understand died in childbirth in 1889 (presumably the child died as well). Belinda's parents were John Franklin RUPP 1835-1817 and Martha Ann CARTER 1845-1889. Her siblings were Mary Ida 1860-1944, John Henry 1865-1931?, Margaret Lorena 1859-1928?, Maude Ursula 1873-1944, Bertha Amela 1874-1930, and Alice Viola 1883-1928. My grandmother was Willa Murl 1886-1959, she married Earl Edward CRISP 1884-1956, design engineer, in Hillsdale, MI. They followed several Rupp relatives to Platte, SD about 1916-1929, later lived in Iowa and returned to MI in about 1939. John Franklin's parents were John RUPP 1806-1883 and Mary Magdalene WEBER 1814-1889 living in Darmstadt, Hesse, married 1833, emigrated 1850. We have little information on James TINSLEY except that he was claimed to have been a train driver and was the son of a first cousin of Martha Ann CARTER. Otherwise his origins are unknown to us.
