Unfortunately, I don't often get onto this particular web site so I just noticed your post.
You mentioned visiting the Bald Hill Cemetery in Wilton, CT. Are any of the following names there?
Theophilus
Abigail Bouton Ruscoe
Mary Esther Ruscoe b. 1821
Silas B. Rusoe b. 1823
Harrison D. Ruscoe b. 1823
Nancy N. Ruscoe - not sure of date -possibly circa 1840
My great-great-great grandfather was Hezekiah Ruscoe who m. Sally Dean. Abigail a. Ruscoe was their daughter who married my g-g-grandfather Sylvester Scofield.
Are we related?
