In our family info, I have Ammi Ruhumah as son of Nathaniel b abt 1650 d 1714, m Elizabeth Halsey, b? d 1686, Nathaniel was the son of Nathaniel b 1615 d 1673, m Joanna Corlet 1645, b/d ?, who was son of William b 1594 d 1682, m Rebecca (no date), b 1595 d 1635. William was my 12 greats grandfather. My line is from second son, John.
Nathaniel was the eldest. John (Sr) and Rebecca, who may have died on the way here, came in 1635 on the ship Increase.
Ammi and Penelope Foster's son David b 1724 d 1815 m. Jemima Scudder, b 1728 d 1799.
Their son Davis b 1754 d 1805 married Hanna Platt b ?, d 1820.
Their son Nathaniel b 1782 married (?) Catherine Carpenter.
Nathaniel left Long Island after the Revolution, went to Schaghticoke NY, then Hector, NY where he died in 1844, leaving family in central NY. One or both Davids fought in the Revolution. Nathaniel was a bodyguard of Geo. Washington during the Revolution.
Ammi Ruhumah was said to be named after a "famous schoolmaster of MA", a Corlett, who may have been his grandmother's brother or uncle.
The grandchild of David and Hannah Platt was Hannah K. Rusco, who married Jesse Platt Conklin. There are several Roscoe Conklin possibilities.
That's all I've got. What do you know about the decendants of John ?
