Samuel Ruscoe (and his various other spellings) seems to have been a litigious kind of a guy. In any event, there were many Ruscoes in New England, especially in Connecticut. My grandfather was William Ferguson Ruscoe, born April 12, 1865, in Turn of River, N.Y. There are Ruscoes in Norwalk, Conn., (John Ruscoe founded the city in 1639 and was its first mayor) and elsewhere. I am trying to establish a link between my great-grandmother, Lillian Ferguson Ruscoe (mother of William) and the Warren family, especially Gen. Joseph Warren of the Revolutionary War. He is descended from Richard Warren, who came on the Mayflower. Also, Lavinia Warren is in that family. Also, there are Ruscoes in New Canaan, Conn., Danbury, too. There is a Ruscoe Road that runs through Ridgefield, Conn., into Danbury. I hope this helps you, and that you can help me!
