I think you have to check spelling of these towns. I found only two similar names on the Poland's map. One of the villages is SMOLANY (the north-east from Suwalki) and the second one KRUGLO - between Dabrowa Bialostocka and Sokolka. Both of them are in Poland.
I will try to check Russian maps too.
