I am looking for SOME leads to the whereabouts of my Great (and Great Great) Grandparents in the Saratov region in the 1800's.
My Great Grandparents were David Mill and Elizabeth (Flegler) Mill, immigrated through Galveston in 1905. Elizabeth was born in Oleschna Feb. 1, 1879 and David was born (place unknown) May 20, 1876.
My Great Great Grandparents (David's parents above)were David and Maria Katrina Mill. David died Nov 6, 1891 @ 38 y.o. Maria died Jan. 3, 1891. Both places unknown.
On the 1920 U.S. Census, it is listed as David and Elizabeth's (as well as THEIR parents') birthplaces to be in Saratov Russia...but where???
Also, I KNOW that David and Elizabeth immigrated into the U.S. through Galveston with their small children Alexander (3 y.o.) and Elizabeth (>1 y.o.) in 1905 but can find NO RECORD of it on any passenger manifests...any thoughts? Please E-mail me: tmill79755@aol.com
