Yes, Jendrota did not come with him, he left her at home in "old country". Did you locate her manifest? She could have come thru Baltimore, Boston or Philadelphia if not thru Ellis Island. No Jendrotas at all thru Ellis Island.
Brother-in-law/cousin Ignatz's surname seems Americanized. NAWSKUN is that like NEINIKONIS like Franas's surname?
But wait there were 2 NAWSKUNs that did arrive thru Ellis Island.
Nawskun, Kasimer Ochugest, Wilna 34 1869 1903
Nawskun?, Audry ..., Russia 28 1883 1911 I did not look on each manifest.
Anyone in the family naturalized citizen? Did the first ancestors have social security numbers? http://ssdi.rootsweb.com Both forms should have a place of birth. I don't suppose because of his age that Stanislaw had to fill out a draft registration form?
