Went back to www.stevemorse.org looking for people arriving from Lapup and found these (not many)with your Gendruta among them Grunberg, Berish Lapupa 22 1881 1903 Grunberg, Freide Lapupa 20 1883 1903 Mikolajtene, Gendruta Lapupy, Russia 24 1888 1912 Mikolajtene, Ona Lapupy, Russia 4 1908 1912 Mikolajtene, Petras Lapupy, Russia 2 1910 1912 * Petranckas, Kasls (Kasis) Lapupe, Russia 20 1893 1913 (Lapupe, Suwalki) going to Pittston, Pa * Petronsky, Ignac Lapupi, Russia 24 1888 1912 (going to b-i-l Sta.is MIKOLAJTIS, Amherst, Mass left father Ignac PETROWSKY in Lapupi, Suwalki) He might be Gendruta's brother. He most likely filled out a first paper for naturalized, no date there but a 505 - discrepency with spelling of a surname.
