Stepan Rudnev has not one brother only but also second one - Michail Matveevich Rudnev who also was the doctor, who founded the scientist school of patologoanatomy (sorry for possible mistakes)
was born in 31.10.1837, died in 10/12/1878. There is an article about him in Great Soviet enciclopedy.
(РУДНЕВ Михаил Матвеевич (1837-78)

Alexander Rudnev was the chief doctor in Tula hospital since 1887 till 1901. this is a russian link. the portrait of Alexander is first on the right side of the page. In case you need full translation of this page, please, let me know, or use online translator

As far as it's known some facts of biography of Michail Rudnev I can write that all three brothers was born in Tula in a family of Matvey danilovich Rudnev (died 18/05/1875), the priest of Staronikolskaya church (Old church of St Nikolay), the master og theology. ( The link to some information about him http://www.biografija.ru/show_bio.aspx?id=113130)

Michael graduated Tula theological seminary and entered the Medical-surgery academy in 1855. Here is it a link for his biography with his portrait http://www.tula-oblast.ru/greatpeople/naturalsciences/naturalsciences25.php

I will look for more infor and some information about Krukov's family. Would like to say only that you have noble anchestors and you can be proud with it. Also it's a good idea to ask Tula archive about any links to find your family there as far as they lived there.

Best regards,

Evgenia
