Rust Silver Star

Hello I'm Derrick Mackay,
My Great Uncle was William Grant, his wife Dorothy Grant.
As the story goes... My Uncle Bill was best buddies with a man with a surname of RUST. Mr. Rust died in WWII and my uncle was by his side. Mr. Rust pleaded with my uncle to look after his wife...Dorothy. My uncle did so and after years their pain and loss brought them together. Bill and Doll were born.
My Great Uncle was given many medals...I bet he would have loved to share them with his buddy.

I loved my Uncle Bill and Aunt Doll.
My uncle Bill survived my Aunt Doll.
I looked through my Uncle Bills stuff and found WWII medals.
One of them did not belong to my Uncle Bill....but was owned by my Aunt Dorothy. I hope it's true that my great uncle and best buddy Rust pledged their life to each other.
Mr. Rust was killed.... by my uncles side. "Look after my wife" Rust said. And therefore my Uncle Bill did...and eventually she became my Aunt Dorothy.
Anyway...I think it's a silver star for my Aunt "Dorothy Rust" because her past husband gave his life to the empire.

The back of the star is scribed with RUST.
I wish to return his star of valor to the Rust family.

Can you help me return this treasure to his family?
