A Short Sketch of the life of Henry Clark, late of Ohio County, West VA.
CLARK CONNECTIONS
Henry Clark, was born near the city of Newry in the county of Armagh,
on the 23rd of April in the year 1750 and died in 1850.his father
was born near Lough Neagh in 1720, and his name was Lawrence.His
mother's name was Katherine Quinn.Henry was the oldest, Frances was
the next, and Mary was the youngest.
He served in the infantry and calvery in the American Revolutionary
war.He was in many battles and was wounded in service.He owned
Wheeling Island on which he built a fort named Fort Henry.An
Interesting sketch of his life was written by his son Patrick
Sarsfield.".
In 1772 he married his first wife Dorcus Hinton in Deleware.Henry's
Children were Frances (b. 1773?). He married his second wife was Nancy
Sinnicks in 1779. Lawrence (b. 1780), William (b. 1790) Hellen, John
S.(born 1784), Mary Ingaber/Inkabee? (born 1793),Terence (born 1786),
Daniel, Barnabas (born 1795), and son Francis. Henry Clark's third
wife was Miss Mary Ryan.Their children Patrick Sarsfield, Nancy
Anna, Martha, and Daniel. Henry Clark died in July 20th, 1851.
