Perhaps, if we are talking of the same families, I can be of some help. The names and dates which you have posted i feel are to similar to be of coincidence. My grandmother was a Currie. Mary Margaret Currie. Her mother was an O'Neill who was married to a Currie. Her mothers name was Mary Margaret (O'Neill) Currrie. Her father was Frederick Currie. Her mother's parents (my great-great grandparents) were John "Jack" O'Neill who was already in the United States (though we are not sure for how long) and Mary Elizabeth Ryan who had just come over from Ireland. They lived in the south section of the City of Buffalo, NY. Frederick and Mary Currie had thirteen children in all, my grandmother being the youngest. They were: John “Jack”, Herbert “Buddy”, Frederick Miles “Fish”, Thomas “Tommy”, William “Bill”, Edward Frances, Robert, Edward Frances “Teddy” and Francis Currie, James Currie, Ruth (Currie) Lort and Alice (Currie) Doty. Out of the thirteen only one is surviving that is Jim Currie, my great-uncle.
