Looking for info on his immigration (potentially with his wife) from Ireland. Both show up on the 1860 Mo Census with children Patrick William, John Thomas, and Mary Margaret. but the last name there is listed as "Ryans". All other censuses only show Martin and children. No census before 1860 shows the Ryans in Missouri. Martin was born on 17 April 1812 in Ireland and died on 16 Feb 1812.
Any assistance to figure out where he hails from across the pond is greatly appreciated. I might take an educated guess and say that, according to popular naming conventions of the day, it's likely that his first born was named after his father and his wife's father.
