Origin of the family name of Rylands is from England
There is a whole set of Different spellings of the name for example: Ryland, Roland, Rylance, & Roylance is the most common of those within England and the US today. For further reference you can visit your nearest Latter Day Saint's Family History Center Library and have a look at their listings of the name and various Families. The variance of the names is very good reading. Good Luck.
