It might be a year old message but I'm still looking. My great-great grandfather was named John Rylands. He was from Manchester, England and died in Pittsburgh, PA in 1905. Maybe they were related. According to one of my relatives, my great-great grandfather was disowned by his family in England because he married an Irish Catholic.

I would be interested in hearing about your family.
