Hi Loretta, Sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you - I found a bit of a red herring and thought I might have the wrong family. However, I'm now back on track. All I know about James RYLANDS is that he was born around 1835 somewhere in Ireland, and was working as a boilermaker in 1881. His wife Louisa was originally a SHIPLEY, she was born in Liverpool about 1841, but the SHIPLEY family came from the Isles of Scilly. I have more (limited) information about her family which I'll post if you would like me to. The RYLANDS are a mystery though. I have tried to find out more about James, but so far have drawn a blank. I did find a couple of RYLANDS born in Dublin, but I couldn't say if they are connected to our chap. Notify Administrator about this message?
