I have had a look at your worldconnect site - you have discovered a lot more than me, so I won't bore with my info LOL Thank you for putting it all online!
It's interesting that your great grandmother was a member of an Orange Lodge, because my mum mentioned something some time ago about a connection with that, but my branch of the family are all Catholic, so she wasn't sure if it was true or just folklore.
I haven't been able to find him on the 1841/51/61 censuses either. I suspect he may still have been in Ireland in 1841, but he was definitely in Liverpool by 1861, so it seems odd that he doesn't appear. I can't find Louisa or either of the daughters they had at that point either, so wherever he was, they appear to be with him.
