Ryll Holendry

Hallo Alltogether!

Since some time I'm searching my family history. I learned much of the history of my parents. My Mother is born Ryl (correctly Ryll I think)from Holendry Swierzowskie. My Grandfather Michael Ryl born 21.6. 1886 and died 24.9. 1974 in Brandenburg. My Grandmother was born Hüneburg, all they lived in Holendry. Holendry today is 1 Km behind the Polish Russian border. In World War 2 most of the People of Holendry went to Germany. Some stayed in a neighbor village, having very bad experiences. Holendry was made plain by the Russians. About this history are written many articles in Polish and Russian language and even a book by Eduard Bütow in German language.
They discuss the origin of the so called "Bug Holländer" and their life from 1546.Their Religion was Evangelisch Lutherisch. Some have the opinion they a coming from Mecklenburg (Pastor Schultz, 1902) and others think they a of dutch origin (Eduard Bütow - his book 2001).
Would like to here more about it

Best regards

from Leimen, near Heidelberg - Germany
