I believe that Jacob Ryman served in the War of 1812 along with his brothers Joseph and Henry Ryman. John Lewis Ryman was a Confederate soldier in the 33rd Virginia Infantry regiment.I hope this little bit of information is very helpful. The Ryman family is difficult to find much material.
