Susan - You have my complete attention, but not because of a connection between your Ryman line and the Ryman Auditorium. I do not believe that exists...however, the 1900 census on B.F. Ryman indicates that his father was born in Kentucky. In addition to my Tennessee Ryman line, I am very interested and have researched the Rymans in Kentucky. I would like to find out who Benjamin's father is and will pursue this. In the meantime:
1900 U.S. Census, Lyon County, Kansas, Pg. 32B
Americus Twp., Enumeration Dist # 65
RYMAN, B.F., Head, born Sept 1854, Married 10 yrs, born in IL, father born in KY, mother born in VA, Farmer
RYMAN, Hattie, Wife, born June 1866, 5 children/5 Alive, WI, IND, NJ
RYMAN, Mona, Dau., July 1892, KA, IL, WI
RYMAN, Edward J., Son, Nov 1893, KA IL WI
RYMAN, Benjamin F., son, June 1895, KA IL WI
RYMAN, Sidney A., Son, July 1897, KA IL WI
RYMAN, Forest Hobs, Son, Sept 1899, KA IL WI
