Peter Serrot m. Mary Catherine Avaligne c. 1789 in Alexandria, Virginia. They were among the French who settled at Gallipolis, Ohio, in 1789. Peter died there in 1796 and his widow m. Andrew LaCroix and settled on the French Grant in Scioto County, OH.
Their son Peter Serrot b. 1796 m. Nancy Patton, daughter of Thomas and Mary Patton of Maysville,KY, and Scioto Co., OH. They went to Rushville, Schuyler County, IL.
Clarissa Serrot, daughter of Peter and Nancy Patton Serrot m. Jesse Jackson and were among the first settlers of Miami County, Kansas, in 1860
