Hi Dave,
I am researching my family history. I noticed on your posting that your family started the Saafield Publishing Company. My family is related to those individuals, but I am not sure how. I am searching for any family information on Charles James Saal (born 11/21/1888 in New York state) and his parents (my great-great-grandparents). His parents changed their name from Saalfield to Saal when the arrived here in the states. Charles' siblings are: Peter Saal, Franz Saal, Gretchen Saal, Anna Saal, and Bertha Saal.
I would appreciate any information that you have. I am stuck on Charles J. Saal. I know that his parents immigrated here with the Saalfield name and shortened it to Saal. I also know that Charles worked for the publishing company for a while and was closely related to the owners.
