HiPicked up your inquiry on the Web-perhaps you have already received the info from someone else out here in Oregon.
Frank Saalfeld married Mary Wissman in Covington before moving to Rhineland, Texas, and then to Nazareth..then to Oregon. He was my father, Henry, brother who moved with him, but married Elizabeth Johring in Rhineland-she was the sister of Mary Nieman who married Frank Nieman in Covington before moving to Rhineland and ultimately Englefeld -Saskatchewan. To my knowledge Frank and Henry Saalfeld were the nephews of "Uncle Ben" who hosted them in coming to America.I have the family geneology as far as I could get it...and haved visted with the Saalfeld families in Lohne, in Oldenburg,
Germany...and would shre it with you---can you identify yourself more to me.. I have visited with the family of Clem Saalfeld in Covington years ago--and was a correspondent with Esther Saalfeld Hancock until her untimely death. I would be happy to have any information you have about the early Saalfeld's in Ohio-Kentucky.. Best Wishes...glad someone is working on the family history.
