Saundra - Thanks for the message. The Saam's I am from settled in Strasburg, Tuscarawas County or Holmes County.
Nichlos Saam born Feb 14, 1830 - give birth place as Prussia. Story is (as I understand) they came in thru Canada to Iowa then to Ohio. Can find no record of them in 1850 census - maybe they are related to your relatives. Thanks for the info. If I find anything will let you know.
