Jeffery,
The Saathoff family were original settlers in Quihi, Medina County, Texas. They came to the area as a result of the efforts of empresario Henri Castro in the early to mid 1800s.
There is a whole lot of Saathoff information out there. I am also doing some research on the family, as my family intermarried with them frequently. In fact, I went to school with some Saathoff descendants.
