Surfing the internet i found this very interesting page.
I grew up in Ostfriesland (East Frisia), but now live near Hamburg, Germany. My grandfather's and mother's last name is Saathoff. They come from a village called Moordorf
which is only a few miles away from Riepe and Bangstede (not Bangstedt)which is still today a very small and rural village. In that area the name Saathoff can be found very often in local telephone books. Unfortunately i do not know
any web sites in english which could support your search.
