They were div. bef 1898, Elisabeth residing at Wellmitz; Gottlieb at Sommerfeld (same Kreis & State, GER)
They had at least 2 sons. One was my gr-granddad:
Johann Karl August PERNACK (Familiar name: August), born 16 AUG 1866 at Wellmitz. August married at Sommerfeld, to Martha Elise Hedwig SCHMIDT (familiar name: Hedwig; American Nickname: "Harriet") born 5 JULY 1872 at Sommerfeld, dau of Karl & Pauline (BERKATZ) SCHMIDT. [single first names are likely the familiar names, ie: the 3rd of the formal names.]
Both August and his father were by trade a Master Tailor (Schneidermeister.) August & Hedwig had 3 children in Sommerfeld Germany (the first d. young), then immigrated to the USA in 1910, settling in Connecticut. Hedwig died 21 DEC 1914 at Shelton, Fairfield Co., CT; August died in 1945 at Derby, New Haven Co., CT. Their Chidren:
1) Eric [Karl Gotthilf Erich] PERNACK, b. 29 OCT 1898 & d. 18 FEB 1899 at Sommerfeld.
2) Herbert [Alfred Gotthold Herbert] PERNACK, b. 20 NOV 1900 at Sommerfeld, GER; d. 5 NOV 1927, Lands End, San Francisco, California.
3) Elizabeth H. [Anna Hedwig Elise] PERNACK, b. 8 AUG 1904 at Sommerfeld, GER; m. 20 JUN 1926 at Branford, New Haven Co., CT, USA to Frederick Dexter RATHBUN; Elizabeth d. 11 DEC 1995 at Branford, CT.
