We are searching for information from others descended rom the Sabbagh family in Aleppo, or related Balady and Shagawat families of Aleppo.
Our maternal grandmother was Shafia Sabbagh, daughter of George Sabbagh and Mary Balady. George was in turn brother of Rafoul Sabbagh, both sons of Abdullah Habbaba Sabbagh and Ghora Borsali. The Shagawat family has a large number of U.S. descendants from the Sabbaghs of Aleppo, who came to U.S. as Syrian Catholics between 1904-1912.
