SABOL, ALBERT JOSEPH U.S. NAVY KILLED IN ACTION.
Albert Joseph Sabol . Place of birth - Larksville, Pennsylvania Definate date unknown but it was in the 1918 to 1920 Era. Father of Albert - Joseph Steven Sabol. Mother - yet to be determined.Albert possibly enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1942 and in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His home of record was 330 Snyder Ave., Philadelphia at the time of his death. Albert along with three other Navy Aircrew were killed in action over Guam on July 20, 1944. They were attatched to the second U.S.S. Yorktown C.V.-10 with bombing / torpedo squadron - V.T.-1.The person posting this info's cousin was killed along with Albert.The aircraft piloted by Lt. Leonard E. Wood was a Grumman T.B.M. Avenger Dive bomber. I am seeking more information as to any living relative's to provide more informattion to them.I am not a professional researcher.
