In Reply to: Charles Sackville - Lord Dorset by Carolyn Turner of 148

The will of Charles Earl of Dorset and Middlesex, dated 12 July 1705 and proved on 4 May 1707 at the Prerogative Court of Canterbury (PCC 1707/105), gives annuities to Anne Turner and her family.
To Mrs Anne Turner 20 per annum for life and to all the children of the said Mrs Turner 4 per annum each for their lives.
There is also a bequest of 100 to Lady Shannon, and she, I think, is probably another illegitimate daughter of Lord Dorset, the one referred to in the extract from Knole and the Sackvilles as having married Lord Orrery. (I believe she married Lord Shannon after the death of Lord Orrery).
You should be able to download a copy of Lord Dorset's will from the National Archives Wills Online site.
I should be interested to know, please, where you obtained copies of Lord Dorset's earlier wills of 1682 and 1702 from.
