Sackville connection came from marriage of William Sacheverell, one time Gonernor of the Isle of Man to Alicia Sitwell in 1695. In 1881 UK Census only four Sacheverells listed. No person bearing Sacheverell name is known to have survived from these four.Other spelling is Cheverell and Sacheverall and variations.Family believed to have originated in Dorset but with subsequent presence in County's of Derby, Nottingham, Somerset and Wiltshire. They show up in 1623 and other visitations. Search for Isle of Man on net to obtain
