Further to my message of today's date-I have probably misled you re names Sacheverell/Sackville/Sitwell, I was thinking in terms of the literary conection re works of Sacheverell Sitwell, which are quite well known and Sackville-West. My understanding is that both Sackville and Sacheverell are derived from locations in Normandy but that each name existed before the Norman Conquest in 1066. I doubt very much if the names became confused, at least in terms of the main lines of the families.
