Hi Rowen. My name is Jo Lindsay nee Saddington,
I have just seen your message what I have to say may be of interesed or of use to you. I was born in 1926 AT 27 Market St.Maxwelltown, in the District of Troqueer, in the Stewarty of Kirkudbright, Scotland. I was Cristened Josephine Annette Saddington and my father's name was Joseph William Holmes Saddington. He and his brother Charles Leslie were both born in Peterborough Joseph in 1898 and Leslie in 1901.Their father was Charles Henry Holmes Saddington married to Julia Askes in 1890 in Peterborough. The third generation of their decendents dropped the name "holmes" and some of them live in Scotland at the present time. The Saddingtons are pretty far flung in the western world. I too am researching this line but it is pretty difficult. Would be glad to hear from you. My e-mail is Kind regards. Jo Lindsay in NSW AUSTRALIA.
