Looks like its the same. Problem is in my hardcopy census book for 1870 in Belmont County (Washington Township) page 177 Numbers 213-214 t shows Tillman Saffle age 65 born in MD Cassander (her name was Cassandra, she was called Cassie) age 60 born in Ohio (Her maiden name was Reed), She also shows in the Belmont County Infirmary which was in Richland Township. She must of been ill and got home before the census taker made it to Washington Township. Same age. They did have a daughter named Elizabeth but she was born in 1843 according to the census book.An Elizabeth also shows in Joseph Saffle (a son)but she is only 3. It shows living in Tillmans family the following:
Lydia age 95 born in MD (Tillman's mother)
Tillman Saffle age 15 (his son).
Lydia's maiden name was Davis. Tillman Srs. fathers name was Hezekiah born 1782 in MD. They were married September 8, 1804 in MD.
Hezekiah's parents were Samuel Saffel born 1746 (Died Mar 31, 1836 in Montgomery County MD) in Prince George's County MD and Sophia Segar also born 1746 in Montgomery County MD. They were married October 5, 1780 in MD. Samuel's parents were Samuel Saffel born Essex County England in 1712. He died March 28, 1777 in MD. He married a Mary ? in 1738 in MD. I've got the 1880 Census on CD, I'll have to check it. Email me at

I live in Columbus OH. Where are you from? Tillman and Cassandra were my 4ggrandparents.
