I am the resource person for the 22nd ANNUAL SAFFELL REUNION, in Saffell, Arkansas. This year, it will be held on SEPTEMBER 1, 2001.
It is always held on the Saturday before Labor Day. We meet at the little Saffell cemetery, across the street from the Post Office, (and behind the Fire Station). Given yearly by the descendants of John Anderson Saffell, ALL SAFFELLS are most welcome.
Bring a covered dish, and plan to arrive 9-11 a.m. Register, get acquainted, and share info. At 12 noon we have our covered dish lunch (If from out of town, bring supermarket deli items, or soft drinks, melons, etc.)
SAFFELL is located in NE Arkansas, on Hwy 25, due E. of Jonesboro, and 30 miles NE of Batesville. (Batesville is 90 miles N. of Little Rock). Chain lodging IS available in Batesville & Jonesboro.

My husband is Charles Ashley Saffell, M.D., and his great-grandfather was John Anderson Saffell, who settled the town, and who was descended from Samuel, who came into the USA in 1732.
