At least there really is a Aminda Hardin. But...I found her in Independence county in 1860, age 10. It looks like her father's name is L.H. Hardin 34 TN, but the first letter is not to clear. The wife is Susan 30 AL. Children are Melinda 10, Aminda 10 AR, Lucy 5 AR, James 3 AR. Ancestry has it indexed as Arminda and I can see how they might think so.

Now just in case that sounds like news.........These four children are in another Hardin home by 1870 but at least they are in Lawrence county where we want them to be. I read it as follows:

J. S. Hardin 65 KY
Zenia 41 TN
Joseph 26
Malinda 20
Aminda 20
Elizabeth 16
Lucy 16
James 13
James G 60 SC

IN 1860 J.S. Hardin was married to a Telitha.

I will try to work on it tomorrow night.
