Hey Judy,
I just figured out your grandfather and my (Ira Nelson Saffell) were 1st cousins. I never met the man, I didn't want to, but my brother did and said he was a kind, sweet old man. I believe he was a preacher in his later years. I have grown up hearing the "stories" my grandmother told me about his people when I would inquire. My mother is deceased so I can't ask her any questions. Frankly, he wasn't my grandfather, I mean I never knew him and my step-grandfather raised me so my loyalty is to him, but I do have his blood and for that I want to learn all I can. How old are you? I am 48 this year. We are of the same generation.
