Judy, As far as we know Isaac and Elizabeth had no children. In the 1820 census he was listed as head of household with 8 children.
Opal and Lester had the names of 4 of them. In the census was a girl that could have been Mary Elton. Family information says she was born in Harper's Ferry, W. Va. in 1812. Isaac was listed as a blacksmith. The will of Elizabeth Alfree Saffell mentions no children except her own. Mary Elton and Thomas Laird had as their children, Elizabeth M.(which could have been Mary or Mercy or Mercia), John A.(which we believe to be Amos), James Buchanan, Isaac S.(which could have been Saffell or Samuel) and Thomas Warner Laird.
