My mom was born in Keeseville,NY in 1918 to Joseph Safford and Mary ( Winter) Safford. My mom died and even before her death- the family line on my grandfather was verry meager. Apparently came from the midwest- his father was carpenter who worked on the state capital in Albany?? My grandfather owned a Variety store in Keeseville for many years- probably through the 1950's-also was the Greyhound stop there. He died when I was 13 so I know very little. Anyone out there that can help me??? Thanks so much...Jim
