Joseph Safford,b 1810, Bennington Vt., moved with his family and father Joseph Safford, b 1777 or 1783, to Michigan, lst to Oakland County, City of Southfield, and then to Wayne County, Dearborn. After the death of Joseph, son, in 1862, family moved to Detroit.
Wife Betsy Soddy, b 1810. Children Sophia Cynthia, Lucinda, Steven, Horace, Mason, Lucius, Lucy, Amasa.
I have a picture of Mason Safford in his Civil War uniform.
Any information would be helpful. I can also supply a lot of information on ancestors of Joseph from Bennington.
